Radicalism, Is Your Child Strong Enough To Resist
When we become complacent, we put ourselves in harms-way whenever we refuse to take our head-out-of-the sand, and stop looking at the world through rose-colored glasses. When we follow like sheep and do not make sure of all things, evil raises its head seeking to devour absent any morality, consideration, or value of life.
Radical behavior comes from a hatred triggered by insecurity, falsehoods and a lack of. It is the result of a direct will or effort to uproot and reform, that which is established. Radicals carry unresolved baggage that fosters negative beliefs and outlooks, and the anger of a destructive mentality. They are often fragmented fanatical minds that do not serve themselves wisely, or contribute substance to their culture or the world as a whole.
They are individuals, who deeply believe in their cause, yet are puppets to those who pull the strings and promulgate atrocities against society in the name of a religious or blind cause. They are the destroyers of traditional values.
Religious radicals are fanatical maniacs, who selectively turn a deaf ear, and refuse to listen and face the reality of a truth that does not support their cause. They do not reason, are uncompromising and exhibit an enthusiastic blinding zeal and devotion for a cause to be subjected upon society in uprooting the basic balance in life. They desire to be in control and have no respect for the establishment of mankind. Human life is devalued, it is an expendable commodity.
An important distinction needs to be made in that, being liberal in views or in teaching is one thing. Being radical is a danger the world cannot afford to be in acceptance of. Neither can we be smug about the future of our well-being. An even worse situtation is the priggish reasoning and attitudes of society, that radicalism or fanaticism can somehow be dealt with in negotiations or in the human exchange of ideas and in an ability to work things out.
There in lies the naive realism, irrespective of good intentions, that our commonsense viewpoint and our perception of the external world is a direct copy of it. "Not so, ... This thinking is what makes us naive, the lack of exprience in seeing the world as it really is. Not what we belive it to be, or want it to be, but what it actually is. It is the inability to reason, absent preferences, prejudices and cultural issues."
Many of our colleges are radical in the way they teach and what they teach. Teaching and institutional influence affects the mores and beliefs of students, which shapes private action necessary to the welfare and preservation of society as a whole.
There are many fine colleges and teachers. When a student comes out of college with a perverted view of the world and what reality is, it is that viewpoint, that can become the propensity opening up a vulnerability to radicalism and fanatical associations. This can easily result in actions against society of an unprecedented nature.
On the other side-of-the-coin, poverty, oppression and the lack of education can produce the same radical affects. It is the radical and religious fanatics that have spawned aggression, terrorism and war down through history.
And so it is, that there are many who stand idly by, while others make the difficult and unpopular decisions, that continue to protect the freedom and rights of us all. It is those actions taken that give us as a people a "voice," and a future of freedom. That is not a radical action, it is democracy in progress.
